Privacy Policy
Eazyskizy, an app by CodeLime LLC. Last updated 19 July 2026.
The short version. Eazyskizy records where you ski so it can show you your runs and show your trip-mates where you are on the mountain. Location is only recorded while you have started a recording, and only the people in your trip can see it. We don't sell anything to anyone, and there is no advertising or third-party analytics in the app.
Location — the important one
This is a ski-tracking app, so location is the most sensitive thing it handles. Specifics:
- Recording is explicit. Nothing is tracked until you tap Start, and it stops when you tap Finish. Pause stops location entirely.
- It runs in the background while recording, because a phone in a jacket pocket on a chairlift is the normal case. iOS shows its background-location indicator throughout.
- What is stored: a series of points — latitude, longitude, altitude, timestamp and speed — for each day you record, kept under your own user ID, and reduced to at most 600 points per day for storage.
- Your live position (latitude, longitude, speed and heading) is shared with the members of your trip while you are recording, so the crew map works. It stops updating when you pause or finish.
- Who can see it: only members of the same trip. Trips are joined by invite code.
- Location is never used for advertising, sold, or shared with anyone outside your trip.
Photos
Photos you add stay in your own photo library. The app stores a reference to them plus the details it needs (when and where they were taken, and any caption). If you choose to share a photo with your trip, and only then, a small copy is uploaded so your trip-mates can see it. Deleting a shared photo removes that copy.
Your account
Sign in with Apple. We receive a user identifier, and an email address, which is Apple's private relay address if you chose to hide yours. We use it to identify your account and nothing else. You may also use the app offline in demo mode without an account at all.
Trip content
Trip names and dates, the resorts you add, lodging, planned activities, and your recorded ski statistics. Visible to members of that trip.
Services we rely on
- Google Firebase — hosting, sign-in, and the database where trip content is stored.
- Apple Weather (WeatherKit) — forecasts and snowfall. We send the resort's coordinates, not yours. Apple's privacy terms apply to that request.
- OpenStreetMap — the map, and the runs and lifts drawn on it. We request a resort's terrain by its coordinates, not by yours.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — searching for a place by name when you add one to a trip.
There is no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics or tracking SDK in this app.
Keeping and deleting
Trip content, including recorded tracks, is kept while the trip exists. Deleting a trip deletes its content. Leaving a trip removes your access to it. To delete your account and everything associated with it, email us and we will do it.
Children
Eazyskizy isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date above and note it in the app's release notes.
